It's almost that magical time of year again for children of all ages. Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 8, from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Highlands Clubhouse. That is when that jolly man with the white fluffy beard (aka Santa Claus) will be arriving to listen to those long lists from all the boys and girls.
Make a donation to Habitat for Humanity and have your child decorate a special "house" for the holidays to add to our tree (or yours) ... then enjoy a special visit with Santa. Mrs. Claus has been busy making some special refreshments for those hungry little tummies.
This event is open to Lochmere residents and we cordially invite you to bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. And please, don't forget your cameras. To let Santa know that you will be there, please RSVP HERE.
While the entire family is welcome to spend the afternoon with us, once again this year we would appreciate your signing up for a time period for your entire family to visit with Santa (please indicate how many children). We tried this last year and worked well in keeping the line short. This year to keep the little ones busy while they wait, they can decorate ornaments and enjoy a snack. And, of course, it is always nice to visit with your neighbors.
Donations are voluntary but Teen Core is asking for a $5 donation. Please make all checks payable to: "Habitat for Humanity". Donations are tax deductible and any amount is appreciated. All donations will go directly to Habitat for Humanity to buy special gifts for new Habitat homeowners.
When signing up for your visit, please sign up to help before, during, or after the event. It's fun and you get to meet new people.
This activity is made possible by help from Teen CORE of Cary and Lochmere Association.
