Lochmere Homeowners Association and The Blood Connection are hosting a blood drive on Saturday, May 27, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Upper Parking Lot at 502 Lochmere Drive. This is a very appropriate way to kick off the Memorial Day weekend.

Healthy donors of all blood types are urged to give blood and help ensure a stable blood supply for patients.

Required medical treatments and emergencies don’t pause for summer vacations or a widespread virus outbreak.  Wake County is still in an urgent need for blood donations after several months of very low blood drive turnout.

The goal is to collect 27 units of lifesaving blood products.  For each donor, The Blood Connection will make a charity donation of $20   In addition, The Blood Connection will have an additional $40 e-gift card) for each donor.
