christmas tyos

As our neighbors in Western North Carolina continue to recover from Hurricane Helene, Lochmere wants to help them have as normal a holiday season as possible. We thank everyone who donated hats, mittens, etc., in October.  But now we think of the children and the lists they have sent to Santa.

This season Lochmere is collecting toys to be delivered to help make sure the children know that they have not been forgotten.

We will start collecting toys on Monday, December 2, at the Main Office (502 Lochmere Drive).  The deadline for toys is December 15.

At the end of the collection period, these toys will be delivered to an affected  community by a member of the Cary Page Rotary Club.  To make it easy for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

  • All gifts must be wrapped.
  • Please indicate on the gift the following information:
    • Type of gift
    • Gender
    • Age

The last time we did a toy drive, some residents ordered from Amazon and Walmart and had the toys delivered directly to the office.  If you choose to do that this year, we will wrap them for you.

Please help us make Christmas just a little bit happier for these children.  We bet that if you listen very closely on Christmas morning, you will hear lots of giggles and laughter coming from the Western part of our state.
