The Town of Cary contractor is planning to begin work on the sewer at Lake Lomond on May 19^th.  The work will include the following items:

• Set up temporary pumps and piping to redirect sewer flows.  This will include temporary piping routed through the lake outfall structure at the dam and pumps at manholes adjacent to the trail.
• Cleaning and video inspection of sewer lines, followed by installation of cured-in-place liners.
• Removal of temporary pumps and piping as well as restoration and cleanup.

In the interest of safety, due to the location of the manholes along the trail, and the placement of pumps, equipment, etc., Lochmere is planning to close the trail.

 The contractor plans to do as much work as possible from Lochmere Drive, by parking next to the guardrail and temporarily closing the bike lane.  Signs will be placed to notify bicyclists and motorists.

 We expect this work to take approximately one month to complete.
