The Lochmere Tennis Ladies came together today to celebrate one another at the first of what will become an annual Mother's Day Tennis Social at the Lochwood courts. The weather was a pleasant sunny spring day with just a bit of wind to challenge the ladies' shots and cool them down between points.

They fielded six courts of doubles play with thirty ladies coming out to play and watch. The tennis was fun and challenging and the good humor questioned their ability to hit the ball while doubled over laughing at one more amazing shot or funny comment.

When many were asked what the highlight of the day was,  the answers of "the people" and "the tennis" held equal importance.  It should be noted that Diane's team on court 4 got in their steps and were challenging themselves to hit just one one more shot.  The ladies laughed, they practiced, they played and enjoyed their time together in the beautiful courts of Lochmere.
