The Lochmere Board of Directors has just become aware of a Town of Cary Council Hearing to be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, to adopt a resolution authorizing the Raleigh Housing Authority to acquire and rehabilitate Amberwood at Lochmere, a 340-unit apartment community located at 100 Eclipse Drive, for use as affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households.

The Lochmere Board has contacted the Council member for District C to find out more information. The Board is planning to meet this week to discuss the matter.
We encourage all interested residents to submit comments or questions to Cary Town Council using the methods outlined in the Notice.
A Lochmere resident has already submitted comments and questions to Cary Town Council and has agreed to share those. His questions and comments can be viewed in the attachment below.
As we learn more, we will share the information with residents.
