Christmas tree for tennisGarbage, recycling, and yard waste collection by the Town of Cary is altered during the weeks of Christmas and New Years.   Lochmere's collection days will be Friday, December 26, and Friday, January 2.

When it's time to take down the greenery, place Christmas trees, wreaths, and garland at the curb for weekly yard waste collection or drop them off at the Citizen's Convenience Center, 313 N. Dixon Ave.  Remember to remove all artifcial foliage and decorations (tinsel, wire, and other items that are not a part of the tree).
Please note that the Citizen's Convenience Center will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.

golf cart 1

Your Board of Directors would like to remind residents that unlicensed golf carts and ATV’s are not allowed to be used on public streets per Cary Police.  Cary Police enforces vehicle laws, not Lochmere Association.

However, the Board has the authority per its governing documents to create and enforce common area rules and restrictions.  The Board has noted that there are golf carts being driven to the Lochmere pools and parked in the parking lots (common areas).

The Board voted at their June 24, 2025 monthly meeting that unlicensed golf carts and ATV’s are considered “unauthorized vehicles” and, therefore, cannot be on common areas.

These golf carts and ATV’s are subject to towing when parked on common areas per the posted signage at both Recreation Club facilities.

Tow Away Sign

The Board does not wish to have anyone’s vehicle towed but will do so if unlicensed golf carts continue to be parked in the parking lots.
